It's absolutely not obvious the advantage Mind Maps until I've tried to use them myself. It looks like a new level of the "minding" instead of just a new visual information representation.  I've tried them on the different subjects (marketing, programming, history, usual-day things,...). It works! I've tried them on the different styles of the perception (reading, listening, brain-storming,…). It works! I've tried them on the different languages (Russian, English). It works again! If any mess is in my head, a pencil’s taken in the hand. Now I'm trying to understand why it works.  I think there are the following reasons: • Laconic writing needs “retranslation” to my own language of objects that are carefully selected. • The result is very compacted and is memorized without any efforts. • It’s some kind of drawing, some kind of visual art. I cannot draw paintings, but MM are beauty things. They’re always different, but always beautiful. • When I’m thinking about some subject, MM helps me be more concentrated on the subject and the time of thinking (or brain-storming) becomes prolonged . • Actually MM is just a big pleasure!
